Did you know that Happy Valleys work in South Lanarkshire with communities to help address health inequalities? They run a range of services and activities, including:
- Community Health Cafes - these cafes run in Carstairs Junction, Kirkmuirhill, Lanark, Rigside and Douglas each week. They're a great chance to meet people in the community, have a tea or coffee and bite to eat and learn something new. Find out more.
- Health Walks - open to everyone of all abilities, these walks run on a weekly basis in Lesmahagow, Lanark, Rigside, Biggar, Carstairs Junction and Coalburn. A great way to meet new people and stay active. Find out more.
- Reconnect Social - a fortnightly social group for people aged 50 and over. The sessions are free to attend and no prior booking is required, take a look at the what's on section of the website to stay up to date with when the activities are running.
- Reconnect - a volunteer run service which partners older people with a volunteer who visits their home, speaks frequently on the telephone or provides support in the community. This service is offered in Coalburn, Douglas and Glespin. Find out more.
